The Software Program Manager at Lumin Digital is responsible for driving cross-functional alignment, visibility, and delivery excellence across Lumin’s product portfolio. This role ensures that product initiatives are effectively planned, prioritized, executed, and measured - connecting strategy to execution across Product, Development, and Client-facing teams. As a subject matter expert in agile delivery and program management, the Program Manager facilitates collaboration, improves operational processes, and enables predictable, scalable outcomes for Lumin and its financial institution clients.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Experience:
Coordinate and oversee execution across multiple agile teams, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic goals, timelines, and quality standards.
Develop and maintain visibility into program and portfolio-level progress; proactively identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
Facilitate communication and collaboration across Product Management, Development, Client Success, and Leadership to ensure shared understanding and delivery clarity.
Partner with Product Leadership to drive prioritization processes, balancing capacity and business needs while supporting corporate planning.
Define, track, and report key performance indicators to assess delivery health, velocity, and value realization; communicate insights to stakeholders and executives.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product delivery processes, including agile ceremonies, backlog management, and release readiness.
Develop and maintain program dashboards and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to improve transparency and reporting accuracy.
Serve as a trusted advisor to product and engineering leadership, ensuring issues are identified early and resolved efficiently.
Support portfolio-level governance by maintaining accurate documentation of plans, decisions, and program artifacts.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Product Leadership Team.
Position Specifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Product Management, or a related field - or equivalent education and professional experience.
Experience:
5 or more years of experience in program or project management within a software, SaaS, or FinTech environment.
Proven success leading cross-functional agile programs with multiple concurrent workstreams.
Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex initiatives through the full software development lifecycle.
Experience developing and implementing program management frameworks, tools, and reporting structures.
Advanced Jira dashboard/reporting experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong understanding of agile and traditional software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)).
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills across business and technical teams.
Proven ability to identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs and to drive timely resolutions.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage metrics for insight and decision-making.
Skilled in program and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and proficient with virtual communication tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification preferred. Experience with hybrid or scaled Agile delivery frameworks a plus.
Travel:
Minimal, generally 12 days or less per year, ~2X team get togethers a year
$120,000 - $140,000 a year
