OFFERING PAID CREDENTIALS - Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening! PCAs placed on assignment in Downingtown Area School District (DASD) will start at $23 per hour and progress to $27.50 per hour (w2 employment). SCHEDULE: PCAs will work on all student days following DASD academic calendar year. The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a field employee position working in a school setting to provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special needs. PERKS OF WORKING IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM: Excellent experience to start a career making a difference every day working with individuals with special needs Perfect school day schedule for parents who would like to work in the same district as their children Great opportunity for those who are retired or seeking a change in career to work with children in schools PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities, helping them participate in classroom activities, manage behavioral interventions, manage personal care, and access to educational environment as it aligns with the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Implement timely interventions focusing on behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and enhancing peer interaction skills, according to the goals outlined in the IEP or positive behavioral support plan set by Special Education team. Gather daily data and maintain progress notes in the designated format for each session with the child or adolescent. Daily progress notes will be entered into STaR and/or Clinic Tracker system based on student's medical billing source. Offer direct assistance to students to fulfill their academic, social, emotional, and/or personal care requirements. Requirements EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma OR equivalency Complete both PCA and BHT training plans; paid and provided by CCRES Experience working with school aged children - preferred Experience with autism and / or other special needs - preferred CREDENTIALS: (Clearances current within 12 months) CCRES provides paid clearances & TB screening PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance PA Department of Education FBI PA Department of Human Services FBI TB Screening (current within 3 months) Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts Benefits Employees scheduled for 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits Employer paid base medical plan!
