Who You Are:  

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Accounting, the Accounts Payable Manager will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the AP operations, while driving process improvements and leveraging our systems to scale our AP processes. This is an ideal role for someone who is used to high-growth start-ups and knows how to scale processes effectively and consistently loves to adapt to new challenges.

This role is based at the Company’s headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA and requires you to be onsite 3x/week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). We will only consider candidates already based in the Bay Area.

What You'll Do:

Own the end-to-end AP function, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor management, reconciliations, and reporting
Train and evaluate employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product
Measure the productivity of the staff to streamline processes and promote efficiency and continuous improvement
Develop and monitor KPIs (e.g., days payable outstanding, processing accuracy, vendor satisfaction) and implement improvements to achieve best-in-class performance
Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership, including cash flow forecasting and spend analysis
Collaborate with Procurement, FP&A, and Accounting teams ensure proper coding and accruals and proper cash outflows forecasting
Oversee payment strategies, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks
Drive process standardization and scalability to support the company’s rapid global growth
Develop supplier/vendor relationships to quickly resolve payment issues
Ensure the timely resolution of internal and external inquiries regarding vendor invoice and payment issues
Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead efforts to implement process changes
Support Company initiatives as identified by management including the implementation of a E2E procure to pay solution

What You Bring To Zūm:

8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable or procure-to-pay
Experience with Tipalti, Netsuite, and Bill Spend & Expense applications is highly desired
Proven experience in a global, high-growth, technology-driven environment
Hands-on expertise with P2P platforms and demonstrated success in system optimization
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and international AP requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. The targeted pay range for this role in US CA is: $132,000 - $173,000
