Description The Middlebury College Kathryn Wasserman Davis School of Russian is hiring Russian tutors for summer 2026 (June 23rd â August 14th), on Middleburyâs main campus in Vermont. The School of Russian combines a cultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroom instruction. This is an opportunity to join a community of learners by actively supporting teaching, dining, residing, and recreational activities with students as they pledge to read, write, and speak exclusively in Russian. In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will be provided. We are looking to complement our team of experienced instructors with one-on-one and small-group tutoring for language learners who require extra academic support. Tutors will also support the overall mission of the School of Russian by contributing to our co-curricular and cultural offerings. Note: This position is for summer 2026 only. This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible hourly position. The wage for this position is $25 per hour. *Subject to change once 2026 budgets have been approved. Requirements Academic background in Russian Experience as a Russian tutor in group and individual settings Experience with and sensitivity to very diverse groups of learners Enthusiastic, dynamic, and confident as a tutor-teacher with a true commitment to student learning and teamwork Native or near-native proficiency in Russian, oral and written Application Instructions Interested candidates should upload a letter of interest, as well as a current CV.
