Role Overview:
We are looking for an optical module test development engineer to join our test engineering team!
What you'll do:
- Lead the development of test stations used in the Lidar and other sensors manufacturing line, for optical modules and associated assemblies.
- Develop robust test methods and analysis routines for screening the modules and assemblies.
- Work with Contract Manufacturers (CM) to install and optimize stations for high volume manufacturing.
- Work with the engineering teams to periodically review and add test coverage and improve test throughput.
- Work with external vendors to evaluate, specify, and procure advanced test solutions for the module and associated assemblies.
- Responsible for Silicon Photonics characterization and photonic integrated circuits (PIC) at the wafer, chip, and module levels to support path finding programs.
What you have:
- 5+ years of experience with Silicon Photonics, laser, or related photonics product development.
- MS or Ph.D. in Physics, Photonics, Optical engineering or related technical discipline
- Experienced with optical instrumentation and alignment systems
- Strong experience using Python for test automation and with data structures.
- Experience in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART,JTAG protocols for interfacing with embedded systems.
- Experience with JMP and database tools to perform statistical analysis for GR&R, correlation analysis for manufacturing processes.
$125,800 - $170,200 a year
Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.
Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax commuter and health care/dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
