The following is an overview of the role and what we are looking for in a successful candidate.
- Field Services Logistics Assistant will support LiveOak’s Field Services warehousing and logistics operations. This role is key to our success in the market, and we are seeking the very best to staff this position.
- Supports daily inventory management of all tools, parts and materials pertaining to installation and repair.
- Produce and build install totes.
- Stages ONT software updates.
- Supports oversight of inventory control, shipping, handling, receiving, and delivery of materials, as well as inventory database management.
- Operates shipping, receiving, and stocking of all inventory materials needed for the ongoing operation.
- Completes testing of reclaimed customer equipment.
- Maintains accurate records and database of inventory materials received, warehoused, and dispersed.
- Maintains sufficient inventory levels to meet demand while maintaining efficient inventory levels and highest possible inventory turns.
- Disperses tools and equipment to field service technicians and maintains employee buffer records.
- Supports process of quarterly and annual count of inventory items.
- Delivers materials to other Warehouse centers across the markets.
- Maintains open and professional communication with all staff, including management, independent contractors, technical staff, and administrative personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned by field service management.
- Ability to lift, push, and slide boxes and inventory weighing up to 50 lbs, with some items. potentially weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification and operate as a forklift operator.
- Ability to continually stand, bend, pull, lift, pivot, sit, twist, and stoop as part of daily tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.
- Minimum one-year certificate from college or technical school, 3 to 5 years related experience. or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Previous experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in telecommunications, fiber optics, or related industry
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and practices
- Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience
- Knowledge of safety protocols in warehouse operations
- Walking- up to 40%
- Standing- up to 40%
- Reaching- up to 55%
- Lifting and/or bending- up to 55%
- Work environment- indoors and outdoors
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Travel: up to 10%
