Join Aprio's Outsourced Accounting team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for an Accounting Associate to join their dynamic team.
This entry-level position is ideal for someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the ins and outs of restaurant and franchise accounting. You’ll work closely with experienced controllers and senior accountants to manage day-to-day accounting activity for our restaurant and franchise clients.
Position responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approvals
- Prepare weekly payment runs (check, ACH, and wire) and maintain vendor records
- Reconcile vendor statements and research payment discrepancies
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including posting transactions and reconciling accounts
- Support month-end close processes including accruals, journal entries, and reporting
- Communicate with clients and vendors in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with our accounting team to ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financials
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Clear and professional communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from a collaborative team
- Experience in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Restaurant365, or similar platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, franchise models, or hospitality is helpful but not required
