Summary:
The Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers, the field maintenance team, and internal field support operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating maintenance requests, scheduling field service appointments, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
The Service Advisor provides clear communication, accurate documentation, and proactive support to both customers and technicians to maximize efficiency, customer satisfaction, and equipment uptime.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding field maintenance service requests, inquiries, and updates.
- Schedule and coordinate field service appointments, dispatching technicians based on availability, skills, and location.
- Create, review, and process work orders, ensuring accurate documentation of customer concerns, services performed, and parts required.
- Provide technicians with detailed service instructions, customer information, and job requirements.
- Communicate repair status, timelines, and any additional service needs to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure proper follow-up after service visits to confirm customer satisfaction and close work orders.
- Track and monitor service jobs to ensure deadlines and performance metrics are met.
- Maintain knowledge of company products, services, and maintenance procedures to effectively support customers and technicians.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and customer-first service within the field maintenance team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical background preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in a service coordination, maintenance, or advisory role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficient in service management systems, scheduling platforms, and MS Office Suite.
- Technical aptitude and understanding of mechanical/equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
$75,000 - $90,000 a year
