At Ledyard Law, we believe that advocacy begins with compassion. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, and serving clients across Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia, our firm has built a reputation for excellence through more than 1,000 successfully handled cases. Led by experienced trial attorney David C.M. Ledyard, our team is dedicated to making the world a safer and more just place, one case at a time.

We specialize in personal injury and general litigation, advocating for children and adults who have been harmed physically or emotionally. Our mission is simple yet profound: to stand by our clients at every stage, making a complicated process easier to understand while pursuing the best possible results. Every victory we achieve contributes to meaningful change: helping prevent future injuries, improve public safety, and hold negligent parties accountable.

Clients often say they can feel the difference at Ledyard Law. That difference stems from our core values of compassion, commitment, and experience. We take the time to truly understand each client’s story, explain every step, and stay by their side until resolution. Our firm’s personal approach, coupled with deep trial experience, gives our clients confidence that their cases are being handled with both empathy and expertise.

As a Case Manager at Ledyard Law, you will play a vital role in this mission. You will be the steady presence that guides our clients through every phase of their case, from intake through treatment completion, ensuring they feel supported, informed, and cared for. This is an opportunity to grow alongside a firm that values initiative, excellence, and personal development, and to contribute meaningfully to a practice built on integrity and results.

What you’ll do:

Client Communication and Case Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for all clients, answering and managing incoming calls with empathy and professionalism. Maintain consistent communication, providing updates and ensuring clients always feel informed and supported.

  • Case Management: Handle cases from start to finish, overseeing every stage of the pre-litigation process. This includes gathering initial evidence, ordering and reviewing medical records and bills, ensuring clients are set up with appropriate medical treatment, and confirming completion of all appointments and reports.
  • Case Coordination: Work closely with attorneys to address case issues, identify missing information, and ensure that nothing falls through the cracks. Follow up diligently with providers and vendors to secure all necessary documentation.
  • Quality Assurance and Documentation: Maintain organized and complete case files in Clio and other firm systems, ensuring all records, correspondence, and notes are accurate and up to date.
  • Client Advocacy: Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction. The Case Manager role is 100% customer service, with you being the client’s advocate, educator, and guide.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in daily morning huddles to align with the team on priorities and case updates. As the firm grows, help develop structure and improved processes, with potential to mentor or oversee future team members.

  • Experience and Background: Prior experience in personal injury law is strongly preferred, though not required. Candidates should bring demonstrated excellence in customer service, problem-solving, and multitasking, along with the proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently (100–150 active cases).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional phone presence and interpersonal communication are essential. The ideal candidate conveys empathy and professionalism in every interaction, maintaining clarity and composure even when handling sensitive or complex conversations.
  • Task Management: Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and responsiveness. Demonstrates consistency in follow-through and reliability in meeting deadlines.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Maintains meticulous records, organizes case materials systematically, and ensures no document or update is overlooked. Brings structure and precision to every aspect of case handling.
  • Independent and Collaborative: Able to take initiative and work independently within 60 days, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys, medical providers, and fellow team members to ensure client needs are met.
  • Professional Demeanor and Resilience: Emotionally mature, composed under pressure, and receptive to direct feedback. Exhibits professionalism, consistency, and a stable work history that reflects long-term commitment and reliability.
  • Software and Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Clio, Outlook, and Connect, with the ability to adapt quickly to other legal databases and cloud-based systems. Embraces technology as a tool for efficiency and improved client service.
  • On-site Engagement: Thrives in an in-office environment where teamwork, communication, and real-time collaboration are essential to success.
