Position Overview:
As a Manager of Quality Management, you will lead the development and execution of a robust quality assurance program for our hardware, software, and service offerings, based in New York City. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining structured processes that ensure products meet regulatory standards, internal specifications, and customer expectations throughout their lifecycle. This includes overseeing testing protocols, inspection procedures, and corrective action systems that support continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will work cross-functionally to embed quality principles into product development and delivery, ensuring traceability, documentation, and accountability at every stage. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of quality frameworks, risk management, and customer-focused metrics, as well as the ability to align quality initiatives with business goals and evolving market needs. This position will report directly to the New York City Project Principal.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Quality Program covering all phases of contract performance.
- Ensure a single, unified Quality Program is applied across all Contractor and Subcontractor activities.
- Oversee quality control for all hardware, equipment, software, and services to ensure compliance with the Approved Quality Plan.
- Establish systems for early detection and prevention of quality discrepancies, and lead timely corrective actions.
- Ensure all procured materials and services meet contractual quality standards.
- Provide objective evidence of quality conformance through inspection results, audits, and design reviews.
- Facilitate City inspections and audits of Contractor facilities and records.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues, reporting directly to the Project Executive.
- Possess authority to halt work due to quality concerns and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain independence from production activities to ensure unbiased quality oversight.
- Ensure inspection and testing personnel are not involved in the work they evaluate.
- Require all personnel to report quality issues within two hours of discovery; escalate issues to City and internal management.
- Manage documentation and resolution of nonconforming work, including corrective action and resolution reports.
- Support City-led quality assurance activities including inspections, testing, and audits at any stage of the project.
- Oversee remediation of defective or noncompliant components to ensure full compliance with project specifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Based in New York City, you thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about building quality into every layer of the organization.
You’ll Need To Have:
- BSc/BA in Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or relevant field
- Experience building a Quality Management Program for a small to mid-sized company (~300m Revenue)
- At least 5-7 years of supervisor experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or similar role in the software/hardware industry or similar industry
- Certification of quality control (ISO 9000 etc)
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.
- Customer Facing Experience at the Executive Level
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
- Certification of quality control (ISO 9000 etc)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- MBA or Quality Assurance, Business Administration, or relevant field
- Lean Six Sigma Training and Certification (Green belt or Black belt)
- Experience in the photo enforcement industry
- Quality Management experience with municipal/government customers
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
- Proficiency in quality data analysis tools or platforms (e.g., Minitab, Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to customer experience or voice-of-the-customer programs.
Where you’ll be working…
In this office-based position, you will be expected to report regularly to either our Staten Island or Manhattan office locations. On-site presence is essential to support collaboration, hands-on engagement with cross-functional teams, and direct oversight of quality operations. Reliable commuting to one of these locations is required to fulfill the responsibilities of this role effectively.
