Member of Legal Operations needed to help manage and optimize our core legal administrative tasks and projects. You will be a central hub for the team, supporting everything from contract management and corporate governance to our daily ops, while also helping to drive our legal operational vision that includes blazing the trail of digital asset finance.
We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Member of Legal Operations role:
Technical Skills:
- Assist in maintaining the legal team's contract management platform (Ironclad), including contract review, approval, and repository file management
- Work with team attorneys to update contract templates as new or enhanced products and services are introduced
- Review or respond to legal documents such as subpoenas and support litigation tracking
- Assist in the coordination of the formation, integration, or dissolution of new entities and related corporate filings.
- Manage legal-specific vendor onboarding and legal team systems access
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Manage multiple, concurrent workstreams across different legal functions (contracts, corporate governance, and daily operations)
- Identify, suggest, and help implement process improvements and automations to optimize workflows
- Assist with ad hoc legal team strategic initiatives and projects, helping to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Support & assist with the development and maintenance of internal resources such as training references on legal topics for the company at large.
- Provide support in maintaining and managing company-wide legal records and files, ensuring compliance to company policies and external regulations.
Communication and Influence:
- Collaborate with legal team and company stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and compliance with deadlines.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- Excellent proficiency with Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and database management or eagerness to learn.
- You possess strong communication skills, navigating sensitive information with decorum, precision and investment in the work.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Although not a requirement, bonus points if:
- Experience with Diligent (for Boards or Entities) and Ironclad for contract lifecycle management
- Prior exposure or interest in FinTech, financial services, cryptocurrency
- Interest in or experience with Notion is a plus
- Combination of the following: conscientious, adaptable, collaborative, creative, curious, and humble.
- You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
