Program Summary The Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool (FHSP) is a supportive housing rental subsidy program of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS), along with other governmental partners, managed care organizations, and philanthropy. The goal of the FHSP is to secure quality affordable housing for vulnerable Angelenos. Brilliant Corners, the central coordinating community-based partner for FHSP, works to secure a broad range of housing options, including individual apartments, blocks of units, or entire buildings. Brilliant Corners identifies and secures units countywide, provides move-in assistance and rental subsidy disbursements, coordinates with case managers, and assists with neighborhood relations. Position Summary Working under the direction of the Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool Project-Based Portfolio Manager, the Project-Based Portfolio Supervisor plays a vital role within the Housing Department, contributing to the effective oversight and coordination of project-based housing initiatives. The Project Based Portfolio (PBP) Supervisor provides critical portfolio management support by serving as an internal liaison to the Property Related Tenant Services and the Operations departments, addressing compliance issues at project-based sites, issuing provider notices, joining lease-up calls, and approving payment disbursements. The PBP Supervisor will assist in hiring and supervising Portfolio specialists who are administrators of the contract data on Salesforce and other contract-related data tracking and cleaning. Additionally, the PBP Supervisor will be responsible for generating reports for internal and external stakeholders. Position Responsibilities The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage the collection and maintenance of contract data and assist in the ongoing optimization and maintenance of databases/data systems. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities, particularly in the areas of data tracking sharing. Attend and engage in lease-up calls, ensure completion of lease-up tasks. Supervise Portfolio Specialists and delegate tasks as it pertains to lease-up and portfolio management. Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback to foster growth and improve team effectiveness. Work with funders to track rental subsidy sources assigned to units. Collaborate with internal departments to create and update workflows and policy implementation. Aide in facilitating calls with external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and issue resolution. Assist Portfolio Manager in tracking and elevating high level issues at site Requirements Professional Experience Experience in working with complex databases, reviewing contracts, and project coordination Experience in real estate, unit acquisitions, and/or homeless services is strongly preferred, but not required Experience supervising team for two years or more, required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal/written communication skills Knowledge in real estate/housing development, property management, leasing, project management, unit acquisition or a related field Team-oriented mindset, committed to collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and supporting crossfunctional success across departments and external partners .Strong leadership presence with the confidences to lead external stakeholders and funders. They should be capable of performing stationary tasks like sitting for up to 6 to 8 hours a day. Additionally, candidates should be able to lift, carry, push, pull light to moderate weights up to 15 pounds safely. Requires mental acuity for analytical reasoning and document interpretation. Salary range for this position is $68,640-$68,640 per year. This position is being offered at $68,640 per year.
