Description POSITION SUMMARY The Contract Administrator will act as the primary point of contact with customers, business partners, and internal/external stakeholders in conducting contract negotiations, contract preparation, and contract administration. Essential Functions Statements â Administer government and commercial contracts, including coordinating modifications and changes when necessary. â Assist the Capture and Proposal Department with proposal preparation including, but not limited to customer contact activities, providing contract metrics, and briefing the Capture and Proposal team on contract requirements. â Assist in preparing solicitation responses and bids. â Administrator assigned contracts as required: â Complete documentation required to maintain and update catalog contracts. â Prepare and submit required reports so they are received on time according to contract requirements. â Prepare and process contractual reports concerning on-time delivery and order fulfillment. â Compile and analyze contract data and information from various internal and external sources to provide recommendations for quality improvements, new business opportunities, and processes associated with government contracts. â Maintain historical information related to contracts from contract award to closeout. â Monitor contract performance for compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting, and other contractual requirements. â Provide detailed, accurate analysis of contract terms and conditions. â Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. â Provide guidance and advice to other departments on contractual obligations and regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and other agency FAR supplements. â Assist with other administrative tasks as necessary. Additional Duties â Provide detailed, accurate analysis of contract terms and conditions. â Advise management of contractual rights and obligations. â Perform quality control and internal audits of work performed by TSSi teams (including Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics) as necessary to ensure compliance with contract requirements. â Make recommendations on and assist in developing processes to support contract specifications. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. â Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. â A solid understanding of FAR/DFAR/DLAD regulations relevant to government contracts. â Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. â Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for all levels of business interaction. â A comprehensive understanding of contract scope. â Effective problem-solving and analytical abilities. â Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams to achieve organizational goals. â Capability to build positive working relationships. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE â Bachelorâs Degree or at least five years of previous contract administration experience. â Minimum one year as a Contracts Administrator I or 30 months of contracts knowledge and experience. COMPUTER SKILLS â Google Office Suite. â Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with above-average skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. â Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
