Create is hiring a Vice President of Retail to lead and scale our retail business across Mass, Club, Specialty, Grocery, Drug and Natural. This role owns retail strategy, expansion, and execution, and will shape how Create shows up in stores as we work toward our mission of getting 100 million Americans to take creatine by 2030. The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, operationally strong, and experienced building fast-growth CPG brands across multiple channels.

  • Retail relationships: Serve as the main contact for key accounts. Build strong ties with merchants, planners, and marketers. Manage brokers and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Drive growth: Build and deliver joint business plans tied to revenue and profit goals. Lead planning cycles, line reviews, and promo strategy. Identify new distribution and expansion opportunities.
  • Use data well: Analyze syndicated, category, and store-level data to assess performance and uncover growth levers. Create clear, insight-driven plans for retailers and internal teams.
  • Own execution: Lead launches, promotions, and merchandising programs from planning to in-store rollout. Align with Operations, Planning, and Marketing to ensure inventory, packaging, and creative assets hit retailer timelines. Track results and improve the playbook.
  • Work cross-functionally: Partner with Supply Chain on OTIF and retailer compliance. Align with Planning on demand forecasts. Collaborate with Marketing on retailer-specific activations.
  • Build for scale: Develop systems, processes, and tools to support a rapidly growing omni-channel brand.
  • Experience: 10+ years in CPG retail account management, category management, or sales, with direct customer-facing responsibility.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS), category analytics, multi-channel price pack architecture, and store-level reporting.
  • Storytelling Skills: Able to translate data and insights into clear, persuasive narratives for buyers and internal stakeholders.
  • Task Management & Resourcefulness: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ownership Mindset: Takes full responsibility for business results and execution quality.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven success working cross-functionally with operations, planning, marketing, and external partners.

Nice to Have: Experience managing brokers or third-party sales agencies; Familiarity with retailer-specific portals, scorecards, and compliance processes; Experience presenting to senior retail leadership and internal executives.
