Description Prestage Farms is seeking a Land and Nutrient Management Equipment Mechanic to serve as a support person to all land and nutrient management department personnel. They will work closely with land development technicians to provide technical assistance on all irrigation related equipment and maximize efficient production. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Service and maintain irrigation reels, gasoline motors, diesel pumps, center pivot, and solid set irrigation systems to ensure they are in proper working order Respond in a timely manner to breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize downtime Maintain a record of service on all irrigation equipment Assist in the repair of underground irrigation systems Assist in the movement of equipment between farms Requirements Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred 2+ years of work experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Class A CDL License preferred Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Benefits In addition to competitive pay, employees of Prestage Farms are also eligible for: Sick Pay Vacation Pay Holiday Pay 401(k) Plan Medical Insurance Voluntary Insurance options such as Dental, Vision, Etc.
