About the Role:

Dr. Squatch is looking for a Sales Operations Associate to join the Retail Strategy team and support the rapid growth of our Retail business. This role will report to the Sales Strategy & Operations Manager.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits, based in Marina Del Rey, CA, that requires 3-4 days per week at Dr. Squatch HQ.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $70,000 to $80,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Sales Operations & Replenishment
    • Monitor retailer and distributor inventory levels (DC + store where applicable) to ensure optimal in-stock health; proactively surface issues and risks.
    • Manage and track retailer POs, including PO maintenance, PO changes, cancellations, and resolving any discrepancies.
    • Partner with demand planning and sales to maintain accurate S&OP inputs, including promo plans, door counts, price changes, and major demand drivers.
    • Provide inventory visibility to sales leadership (what’s on order, what shipped, projected coverage, and logic behind any changes).
    • Support annual and seasonal promo planning: maintain promo calendars, track execution windows, confirm SKU participation, and communicate expected uplifts.
  • Forecasting & S&OP Support
    • Monitor weeks of supply (WOS) for base business and display activity; provide inputs for demand adjustments tied to promotional windows and merchandising events.
    • Maintain S&OP inputs related to sales assumptions, retailer changes, and supply chain constraints.
    • Communicate inventory, velocity shifts, and ordering changes from retailers to demand planning in real time.
  • Sales Analytics & Performance Reporting
    • Pull and analyze POS sales and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Provide weekly tracking for key accounts (in-stock %, sales trends, supply constraints, replenishment gaps, forecast variance).
    • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support sales storytelling, including performance explanations and root-cause analysis.
    • Support retail sales team with fact-based insights ahead of buyer meetings.
  • Cross-Functional Communication & Issue Resolution
    • Serve as a day-to-day operations partner to Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and Finance.
    • Communicate major changes in inventory, pricing, door counts, velocity, and retailer ordering behavior.
    • Work with supply chain to support MABD/OTIF and Supplier Quality Excellence compliance.
    • Address retailer issues (receivables, deductions, delivery delays) by gathering documentation and coordinating resolution.
  • Relationship Management
    • Partner directly with counterpart contacts at key retailers (e.g., Walmart replenishment manager).
    • Build strong internal and external relationships to ensure seamless execution across sales and supply chain.
  • Item Setup & Product Maintenance
    • Own end-to-end item setup and maintenance across retailer portals (Item 360, Supplier One, etc.).
    • Manage Walmart.com PDP setup for new items (baseline content).
    • Ensure timely setup of new items, transitions, and delists, capturing correct specs, UPCs, dimensions, and pricing.
    • Coordinate with sales and marketing on new product launches, including velocity assumptions and item readiness.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related field.
  • 0–2+ years of experience in sales operations, supply chain, retail operations, CPG, or an analytical commercial role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Sheets (pivot tables, basic modeling)
  • Understanding of demand planning, replenishment, MABD/OTIF, or S&OP processes.
  • Familiarity with CPG metrics: POS, in-stock %, WOS, forecast variance, item setup requirements.
  • Experience pulling and interpreting data to form actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to synthesize data into clear direction.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to build relationships with retailer counterparts and cross-functional partners.
  • Interest in developing a career in sales or sales operations (this role provides strong visibility to sales leadership).
